Stand Off an Okonoko Church - Day 2: 9:00 a.m.

At 9:00 a.m. on January 15 (Day 2 of the Campaign) a company of Ashby's Cavalry approached Okonoko along the Potomac Turnpike from Lowell's Cross Roads. It encountered Federal cavalry and a small detachment of infantry at Okonoko Church, south of town. The two sides have not engaged and are observing each other.
