Tyler's (3rd) Brigade, supported by Capt. Daum's Battery "A" West Virginia Artillery, marches past the Sloan Farm towards Meadown Run Inn. The junction at Meadow Run in is defended by William Taliaferro's Brigade, Jesse Burks Brigade, Shumaker's Battery and Marye's Battery. Tyler and Daum take position and then attack across the wild meadow.
