Back Down the Potomac Turnpike - Lowell's Cross Road: Day 1 - 9:00 a.m.

Cavalry ran into each other while moving on Lowell's Cross Roads. The Federals were moving along the Potomac Turnpike from Okonoko. The Confederates were on the Old Town Road, coming from Spring Gap. They stopped outside of town when they made contact. The Federals turned around and went back towards Okonoko and are no longer in the vicinity of Lowell's Cross Roads.
