Issuing Fresh Orders

From the simulation manual:

7.4      Fresh Orders

Any time a report is received, players may issue fresh orders for any units across the campaign theatre. After receiving contact reports, any fresh orders for units not involved in the contact should be issued in a separate email and not in the same email as contact orders.

During the course of a day in the simulation, reports are issued at 9:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. if there is contact.  Once a contact report or its outcome is received by a player, he is free to issue new orders if he chooses. If there is no engagement, the simulation will continue and will not await any fresh orders. (They can be issued, but may arrive after units have continued advancing along their line of march.)
After a skirmish report is issued, I will wait 24 hours before continuing with the sim and the movement of troops.
Units that are in the presence of the enemy and have opted to "maintain position" may re-issue orders to engage or withdraw at any time.
