The simulation has been in "slow mode" this week. I suppose it is only natural following an engagement, but players are in midterms and have asked to slow it down a little. There will be movement, but at a more relaxed pace and without any tactical engagements until exams are over.
Movement on January 6th should take place this weekend. It may be hampered by snow. What to expect... Colonel Kimball's Union column is heading back to Bath with its trains after its defeat at Rhodes Farm. A Confederate cavalry battalion commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Turner Ashby is in hot pursuit and obviously looking for any opportunity to harass the rear guard and take some commissary wagons if possible. Ashby's cavalry has been shadowing Kimball's retreat since the battle.
There appears to be a Federal force in Strasburg. Anyone who looks at the rules of the simulation can have a good guess at what they might be doing on the 6th.
Otherwise, it is all about the weather and.... it's snowing.
