Day 5 - Entering the Afternoon Phase

The morning phase of Day 5 had three contacts: Mechanicsburg Gap, Hanging Rocks, and Three Churches.  Confederate cavalry out on scouting missions were responsible for two of the contacts. Federal cavalry was primarily seen moving in conjunction with infantry or acting as pickets / skirmishers during the morning.

All of the contacts were resolved by Confederate withdrawals. Lander's Division took Three Churches without firing a shot. Three Churches is one of the campaign objectives, but to earn the points associated with it in the simulation, Lander will have to hold it at the end of the afternoon phase.
