As Federal losses started to amount, the Confederates left the cover of the Ward buildings and started to advance towards the enemy. |
Seizing the moment, the Churchville Cavalry launched a counter-attack. |
The Union cavalry was driven back across the Little Cacapon. |
At 5:20 p.m. (Day One) the Ohio Cavalry has returned to the D.Miller Farm and Capt. Sterret's men have returned to T. Ward, awaiting any new orders. |
