Cavalry Re-Engages near Tate's Store - Day 1 - 11:40 - 12:00 p.m.

After a brief lull in the fighting, the Pittsylvania Cavalry (Confederate) advanced through the woods south of Tate's Store and launched a counter-attack on Company "A" 1st Ohio Cavalry.  After a brief skirmish, they were forced to withdraw back into the woods again. The Ohio company left the woods and has deployed in the corn stubble just south of the junction of the Hampshire and Morgan Turnpike and Sidling Hill Road.
