Confederates Take Hanging Rocks: Day 7 - morning
A company of Federal infantry supported by a section of 12lb howitzers held an outpost at the Inskeep Farm, but withdrew in the direction of Springfield when faced with a larger enemy force. For the first time in the campaign, the Confederates have moved beyond the Inskeep Farm and control Hanging Rocks.
