Contact! Day 7 - Morning

In the morning of Day 7, there is contact reported at:

• Slanesville:  Federal cavalry approaching Slanesville from Forks of Cacapon and Spring Gap have run into Confederate infantry and artillery.
• Three Churches: Confederate infantry and artillery approaching Three Churches has encountered at Union picket line at A. Hines.
• Hanging Rocks: A Confederate infantry brigade and battery accompanied by a commissary train has advanced out of Romney and met a Union picket post supported by a section of artillery at Inskeep.
• Springfield: Ashby's cavalry is advancing on Springfield along the Cacapon and North Branch Turnpike and has met a Federal picket line posted at the east end of Springfield town.
